News & Events

The Explore the Trades event was very successful last year due to the participation of our local manufacturers and construction trade companies. The trade show style event is being held on September 27, 2016 at Partick Forgarty Catholic Secondary School . This event provides an opportunity for local secondary students to explore opportunities in the trades at a time when they are trying to determine which career path they should take. As a potential employer, this is your chance to connect with local students and showcase the talents and capabilities in your industry while promoting awareness of potential careers right here in our own backyard. Looking for apprentices or part-time help? Many of the students you will meet are looking for jobs, are currently enrolled in co-op programs and/or starting college or university the following year. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring hands-on/interactive displays including machinery, products and training material and tools to engage the next generation of students. Most importantly, this event encourages local students to seek local jobs in the trades. We encourage you to participate in this event. Registration Package will be available soon!
